Bora Bora Scene Turquoise lagoons, soft white sands, and deep tangerine sunsets set the scene for romance on the island so nice they named it twice. Mingle with tropical fish as you flutter around Coral Gardens or Tupitipiti Point, or relax in a self-driving tour as you take in beautiful views of the once-volcanic Mount Otemanu. At the Lagoonarium you can watch shark feedings and swim with turtles. Cap it all off with a succulent meal at one of the island’s fine French restaurants, then sip a tropical cocktail under the stars.

Climate: Bora Bora is part of the Society Islands of French Polynesia. The western Leeward Islands, of which Bora Bora is a member of, temperatures are fairly stable during the year, however, they decrease slightly in the austral winter, from June to August. The amount of sunshine is fairly uniform throughout the year as well, which means that even in the rainiest months, there's no shortage of sunshine: showers and downpour are simply more intense and more frequent, but they don't last long. In the Bora Bora atoll, the daytime temperature ranges from 30°C in the warm period to 28°C in the relatively cool period. The best time to visit the Society Islands (Tahiti, Bora Bora) and the Tuamotu Islands runs from June to September.
